Matias Full-Size Wired Aluminum Keyboard

CES 2020: Matias Wired & Wireless Keyboards for Mac

Allison interviews Selena from Matias about their keyboards tailored to the Mac. First, Selena describes the Wired Aluminum Keyboard for Mac. Since Apple discontinued its wired Mac keyboards, Matias stepped in and has become a leading provider of keyboards for Mac owners who prefer a wired solution. The Matias Wired keyboard has an aluminum frame with the same finish and colors (silver, space gray, gold & rose gold) as Mac keyboards, but with a larger key travel of 2.1 mm versus the Mac keyboard’s 0.9 mm. It comes with a full numeric keypad, arrow keys, and two USB-A ports for plugging in a wired mouse, wireless dongle, flash drive, or other USB devices. The Matias Wired keyboard is compatible with Mac OS X all the way back to version 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). Next, Selena shows the Matias Wireless Aluminum Keyboard. Available in silver and space gray, this is a Bluetooth-connected keyboard that includes Home, End, and arrow keys but not the number pad. Selena concludes with the Matias Ergo Pro keyboard designed for greater comfort and tactile feedback. The Ergo Pro keyboard is split into left and right halves allowing the user to position the two halves to their preference. Both halves can be rotated and positively or negatively tilted and they include gel-padded writs rests. Key travel on this keyboard is a full 3.5 mm. The setting is Showstoppers at the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas.
