NosillaCast 08/19/2006 Show #56 Views from the Coop

Interview of Allison on the podcast Views from the Coop, available at 2smartchix.com/Blog. Warning to the metropolitan members – this is a southern show, so it has that home town feeling that you don’t always get from NosillaCast. Also, I got really excited and started talking really fast – not just in comparison to Paige and Kristi! the sound quality is not the best, but it’s not the 2 smart chix fault – then encoded it once, I had to re-encode to get it into GarageBand, then GarageBand encodes it over to iTunes as an AAC, and I have to re-encode it AGAIN to get it into an MP3. the sound was a bit worse for wear by the time I got through hashing it up like that. If the sound quality gets on your nerves, go on over to their blog and pick it up from there.

NosillaCast 07/30/2006 Show #53 Ron David & Fay Wells

You’re probably thinking, “hey, it’s not Sunday the 30th of July! It’s closer to July 21st!” that’s because I’ve pre-recorded two shows for while I’m on vacation and I couldn’t figure out how to post them while I’m gone.

Today’s show is the second installment of Ron David’s interview with Fay Wells. If you missed show number 52, go back and listen to that one first, it will make a lot more sense to you! Without further ado (I’ve always wanted to say that), here’s Ron and Fay.

I hope you enjoyed this fabulous interview with an amazing lady. Part of my motivation in playing these wonderful interview segments was to Ron to finally get going on doing his own podcast. He really wants to do it, and I think he’d be a great contribution to the podcasting community, so if you want to hear more, please email Ron at [email protected] and ask him to get started on doing a podcast! As always, you please email me your comments suggestions and questions at [email protected] Thanks for listening and stay subscribed.

Nosillacast 07/23/2006 Show #52 Ron David & Fay Wells

Well, I’m not actually here right now, I’m sunning myself on the deck of a sailboat in the Caribbean. I just said that to make you jealous, did it work? In any event, I really am out of town, but as I promised last week I have a wonderful stand-in during my absence. One of the NosillaCast fans is a well known voiceover artist named Ron David, and a few years ago he conducted a fabulous interview with Fay Wells, a 94 year old pilot from the early days of aviation. I guarantee you’ll find this fascinating, even though there are no weird and wacky websites, no shareware tools, and they won’t use the phrase Open Source even once!

Let me do a quick introduction of Ron before we get started on the interview:

Ron David is a writer, producer, narrator who is also a commercial pilot, aviation writer, and public speaker.

Mr. David has written, and produced programs for the National Air and Space Museum, the Federal Aviation Administration, the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, the Air Line Pilots Association and military and aerospace labs.

As a narrator, Ron has been heard on Discovery, National Geographic, History, Fox, and the Learning Channel narrating programs including Wings, The Silk Road, Battles That Changed the World, Mysteries of the Deep, America’s Most Wanted, and many more.

David has a degree in theatrical arts and has also been an aerial display pilot. He is married to his former wing walker who is also a White House photographer. They have four children between them including two Marine combat veterans, one of whom is a Top Gun pilot, a daughter who manages an art gallery for the City of San Francisco and another daughter who, like her mother, is a photographer.

If you’re interested in getting hold of Ron after you hear this, you can email him at [email protected] or visit his website at rondavid.com.

Sit back and enjoy, next week I’ll bring you the second part of the interview and I’ll be back live on August 6th.
