My guest was Kelly Guimont, contributing editor to the Mac Observer and also a volunteer at App Camp for Girls, founded by our good friend Jean MacDonald. Kelly explains how the concept of a camp just for 8-9th grade girls to learn to code came about, how they got it launched and how it actually works. To give you an idea of the kind of conversations we had, there will be a point where we discuss the relative merits of talking to ducks, garden gnomes and turtles.
