I used the Ocadia from <a href=\"http:\/\/beccary.com\/goodies\/wordpress-themes\/\">Beccary.com<\/a> theme while editing the files a bit to include the NosillaCast and podfeet logos<\/li>\n<li>Haven’t figured out how to test changes yet, every single thing I do is on my live site…gotta be a draft section somewhere<\/li>\n<li>You can now post a comment on podcast if you want to participate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nI’m going to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.portablemediaexpo.com\/conference.htm\">Portable Media Expo and Podcasting Conference<\/a> on November 11\/12th and I’m really excited! <a href=\"http:\/\/leoville.com\">Leo LaPorte<\/a> \nis the keynote speaker, and I could just about die and go to heaven if \nI get to meet him. Ron and I are going together and reallly \nlooking forward to learning a lot. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maccast.com\">Adam Christianson of the MacCast<\/a> \ntold me in an email that he’ll be there, I sure hope we get a chance to \nconnect. I made new NosillaCast business cards and I described \nthe cool new <a href=\"http:\/\/avery.com\/us\/Main?action=product.HierarchyList&node=10211397&catalogcode=WEB01\">Clean Edge Business Cards from Avery<\/a> that worked really well, they kind of crack in half so there are no perforations at all. Very professional looking.<\/p>\nMy son Kyle wanted a new wireless mouse for his iBook, and we passed up \nthe Apple, Logitech, and Kensington mice, and went with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/hardware\/mouseandkeyboard\/productdetails.aspx?pid=045\">Wireless notebook Optical Mouse 4000 from Microsoft<\/a> \nof all things! Smooth scroll, nice small form factor, and stores \nthe USB receiver in the bottom of the mouse. Features a button on \ntop that magnifies the screen for Windows and Mac. $25 at CompUSA \nwithout rebates.<\/p>\nI asked the NosillaCast listeners for a new freeware ftp client because \nCyberduck was getting on my nerves. Listener Matt suggested \nRBrowser which looks pretty good so far.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>free for simple ftp<\/li>\n<li>It lets you edit documents that are on the server which is awesome<\/li>\n<li>Like the way it gives two windows, one for the server and one for your local disk<\/li>\n<li>$35 if you want Secure ftp and folder syncing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nPodfeet.com has some enhancements beyond the WordPress style. \n Look for these new pages on the right hand side under Pages (duh).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>added an iTunes podcasting tutorial – how to subscribe to podcasts through iTunes<\/li>\n<li>added a “My Favorite Gadgets” page<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nWeekly movie review of <a href=\"http:\/\/imdb.com\/title\/tt0375679\/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnx0dD0xfGZiPXV8cG49MHxrdz0xfHE9Y3Jhc2h8ZnQ9MXxteD0yMHxsbT01MDB8Y289MXxodG1sPTF8bm09MQ__;fc=1;ft=195;fm=1\">Crash<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not for the faint of heart – I was literally screaming “NO NO NO NO!!!!!” during one scene<\/li>\n<li>It’s a movie about race<\/li>\n<li>It’s got Sandra Bullock and Brendan Frasier playing rich white people (he’s the DA) with a maid named Maria <\/li>\n<li>It’s got Jennifer Esposito and Don Cheadle playing cops (she’s hispanic, he’s black) <\/li>\n<li>Tony Danza who thinks he’s turned into Al Pacino, Matt Dillon who plays a really nasty racist cop<\/li>\n<li>William Fichtner plays a corrupt assistant to the corrupt DA….<\/li>\n<li>Anyway, it’s a horrifically compelling frightening movie that \nheld 100% of my attention for 2 hours and I didn’t even try to pick up \nmy computer!!!!<\/li>\n<li>Don’t rent it if you don’t like being on the edge of your seat the entire movie<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nYahoo! is jumping on the podcasting bandwagon with their new site <a href=\"http:\/\/podcasts.yahoo.com\">podcasts.yahoo.com<\/a>. \n I say the more the merrier! I submitted my podcast, and it \ntook about about a week for them to get it up, but they did do it! \n Here’s proof: \n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 574px; height: 340px;\" alt=\"nosillacast on yahoo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.podfeet.com\/NosillaCast\/NC_2005_10_16\/Nosilla_on_yahoo.jpg\"\/><\/p>\nThe Yahoo! podcast site is pretty busy, but the search window is easy \nto find, and once you find a podcast you want, it’s pretty obvious how \nto subscribe (see above). You do have to have a Yahoo! account, \nwhich is really annoying. Not sure why they did that. You \ncan set your subscription to go to iTunes or the Yahoo! Music Engine.<\/p>\nI forgot to mention it on the podcast, but <a href=\"http:\/\/technorati.com\">Technorati<\/a> \nlinked to NosillaCast without me even advertising it, but I think \nthey’ve got a bot crawling the web. It was pretty cool to see \ntheir homepage and see NosillaCast as 2 of the entries!<\/p>\nWall Street Journal had an article about Sun and Google ganging up – \nsounded like fun. They said that Google wants to work on Open \nOffice, which would be pretty cool. I’d love to see a clean \ngooglish interface replace the stodgy but functional Open Office \ninterface.
