I told him that I never did that and that I didn\u2019t know how he was getting them!<\/p>\n<p>I asked him to send me one of these emails he gets and from that, I was able to figure out how these little treats were coming to him.<\/p>\n<p>At the bottom of every blog post I make, there\u2019s a comment box. Below the comment box are two checkboxes. The first says \u201cNotify me of follow-up comments by email.\u201d  This is handy if you make a comment and want to know if anyone responded to you. It only sends you emails if you give it your address and only for that one post if someone else comments.<\/p>\n<p>The second checkbox says \u201cNotify me of new posts by email.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019d like to have hand-delivered notifications of blog posts like Niraj, check the \u201cNotify me of new posts by email\u201d box and your dreams will come true. You\u2019ll not only see all of the blog posts I create, but you\u2019ll also get Security Bits by Bart Busschots.<\/p>\n<p>I should mention that you don\u2019t get the entire blog post in the email \u2014 you get the title and the excerpt, and a link to the website to read the rest.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"float: center; margin: 10px\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.podfeet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Example-of-Blog-Post-Email.png\" alt=\"Example of Blog Post Email showing title and excerpt plus a link to the blog post\"  title=\"Example of Blog Post Email.png\" width=\"500 \" height=\"473\"><figcaption style=\"text-align:center\">Example of Blog Post Email<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The funny part of this is that I had no idea I had enabled this feature! I have a plugin called Jetpack from the fine folks at <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.com\">WordPress.com<\/a> that has a <em>lot<\/em> of features and buried in all the settings I found that I had enabled this it.
