After Steve posted the video about Plaud AI, Marty Jencius, aka Drunk Nick Nolte in the live chatroom, posted that he has been using Plaud for a while now and is very pleased with it. I asked if he’d like to drop in a note about his experience, and he did!<\/p>\n

\n Thanks for asking me about the Plaud Note and Plaud Note Pin! You know I like to overdo it, so of course I own both. I discovered the Plaud products a couple of months ago when I was unceremoniously volunteered to take minutes at our every-other-week, three-hour-long faculty meetings. Typing is not my strong suit, and writing notes by hand wasn\u2019t even a consideration. Plaud became my go-to solution for note-taking. I record the meetings using the Plaud Note (pausing when sensitive student topics come up), and then generate a transcription. Our meetings follow a comprehensive agenda with specific sections led by different faculty, so I take that transcription and generate a summary. I then combine that summary, the full transcription, the official agenda, and my own version with action item notes in ChatGPT. From there, I ask ChatGPT to generate meeting minutes that follow our agenda format and export the result in Word so I can make a few light edits before sharing with the team. It\u2019s an efficient and sanity-saving system.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m currently at the American Counseling Association Conference in Orlando, Florida, and I\u2019ve been using both the Plaud Note and Pin during various division board meetings. I\u2019ve taken over the note-taking role in several sessions to give folks a break, and the devices have performed really well using the same workflow I use back home. I\u2019m also presenting at the conference on AI tools for counseling practitioners, and I\u2019ve incorporated a live demo of the Plaud devices into my session. The response has been great\u2014attendees have been intrigued, impressed, and a few even got online mid-session to order one for themselves. It\u2019s been fun showing how these tools can ease the documentation burden in professional settings, especially for those of us who\u2019d rather not be stuck typing for hours after a long meeting.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
