PBS 180: Theming Jekyll (GitHub Pages)<\/a><\/h4>\n

In Programming By Stealth, Bart has been teaching us how to create a real website for free using GitHub Pages. Part of the magic sauce is the static site generator, Jekyll. In a previous installment, he taught us about Liquid Templates, which allow us to put in placeholders that are then automatically populated by Jekyll. In this week’s installment, we learn how to use Liquid to start creating our own theme for our website. The terminology of Jekyll (and Liquid) is still tricky, but with some worked examples and a challenge this time, maybe it will start to cement in our brains!<\/p>\n
