He explains how he uses the tool A Better Route Planner from <a href=\"https:\/\/abetterrouteplanner.com\/\" target=\"%5Fblank\" rel=\"noopener\">abetterrouteplanner.com\/&#8230;<\/a> to help him plan his longer trips.<\/p>\n<p>During the discussion, he spoke of the effect a headwind can have on the range of an EV. I promised to include a link in the shownotes to <a href =\"https:\/\/www.podfeet.com\/blog\/2023\/05\/ev-vs-ice-efficiency\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Steve Sheridan&#8217;s terrific article<\/a> explaining why EVs are more affected by wind and going uphill than internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
