Steve and Me on Kilowatt Podcast<\/a><\/h4>\n

It’s “Sheridan Week” on the Kilowatt Podcast, hosted by Bodie Grimm. Kilowatt is a show about electric vehicles, renewable energy, and self-driving. In a recent episode, Bodie had Kim Lundgren on the show, who talked about community clean energy projects, but she started by talking about how she used to own an EV1, the first electric vehicle built by General Motors back in the late 1990s.<\/p>\n

I had a fun story to tell about the EV1 from when I worked at Hughes Aircraft and at one point owned by GM. Bodie let me come on his show to tell the story, and since I was talking about the history of Hughes Aircraft, he let me get way off topic for his podcast. I told the story of the Spruce Goose, the largest flying boat in history, and how Steve and I got to have a private walkthrough of the plane by the co-pilot from its only flight.<\/p>\n

If you look on 918 Digital for the episode titled, “Allison Sheridan Drove the EV1<\/a>” you can listen to the ramblings of an old person telling stories.<\/p>\n

But that wasn’t all. Bodie asked Steve to come on his show this week to talk about his upgrade from the 2020 Tesla Model Y to a new 2026 Juniper Model Y Performance. His purchase was mostly motivated by the improved suspension, but the car feels like a much bigger upgrade than just that. Steve isn’t often in front of the microphone, so it’s a real treat to hear him chatting with Bodie. He also starts the episode by reading a correction I wrote to something I said when I was talking about the Spruce Goose.<\/p>\n

The episode is called “Steve Sheridan’s 2026 Model Y Performance Journey<\/a>” and of course you can find a link to that episode in the shownotes as well.<\/p>\n
