Appearances

Before we get stuck in (as Bart would say), I’d like to let you know about some appearances I’ve done in the last week or so. I got to be on the Kilowatt podcast with Bodie Grimm, not once but twice!

First I was on the episode entitled Sentry Mode: Your Best Legal Witness on September 30th where I told the story (again) of how my car got slammed into while parked and how the Tesla Sentry Mode saved the day.

Secondly, I invited myself back on to talk about test driving an EV in the episode called The Good, the Bad & the Ariya with Allison Sheridan. I test drove this car with Listener Lynn when she was on the hunt for a new EV. I really liked the car, but she ended up buying a Kia Niro that she adores.

After we test drove the Ariya, Nissan paused the 2026 model for the U.S. Market, presumably because of the high tariffs. It’s a bummer because it’s a beautiful car. The good news is they’re going full force on the Nissan Leaf, which looks to be a terrific car. Not sure why it wasn’t killed because of tariffs, but there’s a lot I don’t understand. Anyway, if you want to hear me talk enthusiastically about a car you can’t buy in the US, check out the Kilowatt podcast at 918digital.com or in your podcatcher of choice.

I was also on the Clockwise podcast #626: I’m doing Great, Pumpkin where Chris Lawley, Dan Moren, Mikah Sargent and I talked about color e-ink displays, Open AI’s Sora, how we manage Mac menu bar icons, and how we feel about Slide Over.

Support the Show

You know who is terrific? John Denning, that’s who! Every once in a while, he wanders over to podfeet.com/donate and he buys me some coffees. I’m not sure what inspires him but every time he does it, I’m delighted. It’s not just that he helps defray the costs of bringing you all this swell content, it’s that it tells me he appreciates the work we do here. If you’d like to be swell like John, remember even “donate” starts with podfeet.com.

I’d also like to thank our newest Patrons from 2024 and 2025: Richard, Christopher, Bruce, Louis, and Zoe!
