Hi, this is Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast Apple Podcast, hosted at Podfeet.com, a technology geek podcast with an EVER so slight Apple bias. Today is Sunday, June 1, 2025, and this is show number 1047. Before we get “stuck in” as Bart likes to say, I want to remind everyone that Steve and I will be in our Discord chat room during the WWDC keynote on Monday, June 9th at 10 AM Pacific Time. If you’d like to join us for a text-only chat where we can talk about how excited we are about the renaming of all the OSes, then head to podfeet.com/chat and jump into Discord with us. It’s always a great time!

Allison on Double Tap Talking CSUN

I recently had the great fun of joining Steven Scott and Shaun Price on their show, Double Tap. I’ve mentioned them before, but to refresh your memory, Double Tap is an accessibility show put on by Canadian company AMI Media. Steven and Shaun host this show every single day! It’s great fun and also highly informative. The guys are silly and serious, introspective and also goofy. I adore the show, but I can’t quite consume it as fast as they produce!

Anyway, they had me on to talk about the CSUN’s Assistive Technology Conference from a few months ago and what things I found interesting at the show. Surprisingly, they do both an audio podcast as you’d expect, but they also record video, so you can watch on YouTube.

I put a link to the Double Tap On Air website in the shownotes where you can read and watch the video, and if you watch from the beginning, you’ll get to hear Steven’s hilarious story of choosing a sofa. Has literally nothing to do with accessibility. Or you can drag the slider to 27:42 when they introduce me.

I also put a link in the shownotes to the episode on YouTube starting right when they introduce me.

Support the Show

I’ve been talking about our new, shiny donate option for supporting the work we do here, and for some reason, John Denning really likes to push those “buy me a coffee” buttons! He’s done it yet again (pushing it several times) and he even wrote a nice note about how much he loves the discussions between me and Bart. If you’d like to push the button too, just go to podfeet.com/donate and buy me as many coffees as you and your pocketbook would like! Thanks again, John, for your generosity.
