Allison interviews Brett White, Eufy Security’s Global PR Lead, about their latest smart lock, video doorbell, security camera, and smart track card.
Brett starts by showing Eufy’s E40 Smart Lock, their first with facial recognition. It has a dual power source with a primary and backup battery. It has a 2K camera, 2-way audio, and supports the Matter protocol.
Next, Brett shows Eufy’s S4 Video Doorbell with a 3K 9MP camera and a 180-deg vertical and horizontal field-of-view. This allows you to see both the faces of people at your door as well as packages left at your doorstop.
Brett then moves on to Eufy’s S4 Solar Wall Light Camera with a detachable solar panel. This allows you to place the solar panel up to 6 feet away from the camera unit for better solar charging. You can swivel the camera manually up or down to better view your area. It also has a light to illuminate the scene and a 10,000 mAh battery that charges from the panel.
Brett concludes in a different category with Eufy’s Smart Track Card, a credit card-sized device you can slip into your wallet for tracking. It supports both Apple’s and Google’s Find My Device networks. It also supports the Qi wireless charging standard and can emit a 100 dB sound alarm when activated.

Transcript of Interview:
Allison: You all know that I’ve basically replaced everything in my house with Eufy cams. I’ve got them outside, I’ve got them inside, I’ve got the doorbell. I’m loving the doorbell because I can see the gosh darn packages now. So I decided to stop and talk to Brett White from Anker, and Anker is Eufy, right?
Brett: Right. Eufy is the smart home brand for Anker. That covers security, robotic vacuums, baby products, smart trackers, anything you can put into a smart home environment, Eufy’s got it.
Allison: And your data can stay locally.
Brett: Locally, and we charge no subscription fees to access or store your videos. Basically, once you make the purchase of hardware, that’s really the last investment you’re ever going to have to make.
Allison: Except that you’re going to want more Eufy products and so it’s really the way it works. But seriously, the video from my home is all on my Home Base. I’ve got it all locally. That was a big game-changer for me. What have you got for us today?
Brett: Well, Allison, first of all, I have to say thank you for your support of Eufy. I think you’re a very smart, very trusting individual, and that’s what Eufy’s all about.
Allison: I’m thin, and I’m pretty and all of it.
Brett: Got it all. So proud to have you as a customer and as a fan. Right now, I’m going to talk about the Smart Lock E40 and what really is different about this. This is our very first smart lock with facial recognition. We’ve got smart locks on the market that do fingerprint recognition. Last year we launched our family lock that had palm recognition. This is our first with facial recognition. A couple other smart things we designed into this smart lock: it’s got a dual power source. It’s got a 15,000 milliamp main battery. When that dies, we’ve got an 800 milliamp backup battery that’ll give you two more weeks of power. If you’re the type of person that’s like, “I’ll recharge that when I feel like it,” you’ve got an extra two weeks to get around to doing that.
Allison: It’s like you know us.
Brett: I think I know that you’re a very busy individual. You don’t have time to be recharging stuff all day.
Allison: There you go. So a grace period.
Brett: Yes, exactly. It’s also got a 2K camera, two-way audio, and supports the Matter protocol. So if you’re getting into Matter and want to have that interconnectivity with different devices, we can help you out there.
Allison: Very good. The name of this product again is?
Brett: The Eufy Smart Lock E40.
Allison: And how much, do you know how much that costs?
Brett: It’ll cost $299.99.
Allison: All right, right in the market of most of them. Good.
Brett: It’ll be available in the March–April timeframe.
Allison: Great.
Brett: Now let’s talk about the Video Doorbell S4 and this is our latest.
Allison: Wait a minute. Wait a minute. I just bought a Eufy doorbell. Are you telling me there’s a new one? I’m already old news.
Brett: It’s new. I’m not going to say that the one you already have is bad. It’s obviously a quality product if it’s from Eufy. One of the things that’s really cool about your product, the E340, is it’s got a dual camera setup: one camera that looks straight ahead, one that’s angled down to focus on your packages.
Allison: Gold. Absolute gold.
Brett: Wonderful. What’s cool about this is we’ve been able to put a 3K 9‑megapixel camera with 180° vertical and horizontal frame of view. You can take this single camera and still see the people in front of you and see your packages all in one camera, on one board.
Allison: You’re sure you can see the ground? I don’t know. I don’t know.
Brett: Yeah, when you’re in the Eufy app, you’ll see a little black bar that separates your straight camera and your angled camera. This basically removes that black bar and you’re seeing everything head to toe: people, packages, everything in between.
Allison: So you said this is 180?
Brett: 180. Horizontal, vertical, panoramic view. You’re not going to miss anything. It’s got this really nice ergonomic curved design.
Allison: It’s beautiful.
Brett: Oh yeah, it’s very elegant. This thing’s going to be really popular. This will come out starting, I believe, in the April timeframe. This will sell for $249.99.
Allison: Okay, great. So I’ve got a little grace period while I use my old one. But it’s fabulous.
Brett: You’re going to be very happy with all your purchases. I guarantee it. This is the Eufy Solar Wall Light Cam S4. One of the features I want to point out real quick: this solar panel is detachable. You can have the camera down here and this can tether up to 6 feet away. Say you have this hanging from a fence and there’s a bit of an overhang that blocks some of your sunlight. Boom, get that out of the way and have direct sunlight to keep this charged whenever you want. It comes with a 10,000 milliamp battery that gets you charged up for when you first install it, but after that you’ll be doing all of your recharging using the solar panel.
Allison: So let me describe this for the audio audience. He’s holding a solar panel that’s maybe 8 or 9 inches long and a couple inches wide. That’s stuck to the top or stuck onto your fence, on a light. But you said this is a light and a camera?
Brett: A light and a camera, and that camera I’d also like to point out—
Allison: I feel like I should hold something for you.
Brett: I’m going to get right there, there we go. You can adjust that 45° vertically to get the exact angle that you want. You want to be able to track your pets when they’re going by on the side of your house, or you want to track people that are messing around with your trash cans. You can adjust that camera, get it just the way you want to have that extra set of eyes on whatever equipment or belongings you want to protect.
Allison: Is that manually going up and moving it or can you do it with the app? Can you move it?
Brett: This is all manual movement.
Allison: Okay, so you set it and forget it.
Brett: Yep, exactly. This light can be adjusted for a soft glow around 100 lumens all the way up to 1,000 lumens. If you want a really bright spotlight, it can do that. If you want more of a soft glow for decorative effects, you can do that too. It’s got warning lights. You can’t really see them through here, but when this thing is lit up, there are red and blue lights on the side of that camera to give you a crime deterrent. It’s got a really loud alarm.
Allison: On the side of the light. Oh, it’s got an alarm too?
Brett: Yeah, it’s got an alarm too. You can scare the neighbors, scare away any intruders. You’re all set.
Allison: We mostly watch skunks and stuff go by our side yard.
Brett: I don’t want skunks coming in my house, so this will be a deterrent too.
Allison: So what is this product called?
Brett: This is called the Solar Wall Light Cam S4. We’re looking at hopefully a March timeframe for this and this will sell for $249.99.
Allison: Very good.
Brett: Yep.
Allison: Boy, I’m loving all of this stuff. Is that enough to take care of us for the day?
Brett: I’ve got one more.
Allison: But wait, one more thing.
Brett: Allison, you have to get home. You want to keep track of your belongings with your luggage, your purse, your wallet. This is our very first, we call this the SmartTrack Card. This is our first model that supports both the Google and the Apple Find My Device networks.
Allison: Really? So it’s credit card size?
Brett: Yeah, incredibly thin, lightweight, also supports the wireless charging Qi standard. You can power this up or get people scared with a 100‑decibel alarm. If you lose something or somebody tries to run off with your stuff, they’re not going to be tiptoeing away silently.
Allison: So hang on. The card itself is going to make that sound?
Brett: Yes. It’ll have people running for their lives.
Allison: Oh wow. Ladies, ladies, listen up.
Brett: Exactly. There’s no missing out on this.
Allison: I’m going to ask a really important question. When the battery gets low, does it tell you?
Brett: Yes, you’ll get a notification. I believe it’ll tell you when you’re at about 20%, 15%, 10%. It’ll give you some warnings leading up to that. This will sell for $34.99.
Allison: Oh, that’s a good price. It feels really light too.
Brett: Oh, absolutely. Incredibly sleek.
Allison: Feel that.
Brett: That’ll support up to 5 months of use on a single charge.
Allison: Very good, very good. This is basically, you stick it in your wallet. I really want to press that button, but I won’t.
Brett: You won’t because this is a dummy unit. But if you did, it would give you a sample of what that alarm sounds like.
Allison: Wow.
Brett: You can find all this great equipment from Eufy Security on eufy.com. That’s E U F Y dot com. You can also find most of this on Amazon, but we’d love for you to come to Eufy and check out the entire website and all the wonderful products you can find, all the wonderful products you’ve already decided to make part of your smart home setup.
