I have two people to thank for their generous donations this week, and I can tie them both to Macstock. Last year, I had the great pleasure of meeting a lovely gentleman we’ll call Mr. X to preserve his identity. He’s a long-time listener but had never reached out before. This year he was unable to attend because of a scheduling conflict, but that did not stop him from going to podfeet.com/donate and buying me more coffees than anyone has ever done before.
The other support requires an explanation. Every year, when we go to Macstock, the lovely Corky Heath picks Steve and me up at the airport, drives us to any off-site events, and then transports us back to the airport. When we thank him profusely, he says the same thing every year. He says that by doing this, he’s saving us the cost of a rental car for 5 days, so that’s his way of donating to support the shows. He also confesses that he enjoys having Steve and me all to himself for so much time, but that joy goes both ways.
