In this picture, you can see my telescope mounted on a very sturdy tripod. The Camera is attached at the back end, and the tracker is the larger object holding up the telescope. The black band near the opening of the telescope is a dew heater, which prevents dew from forming by warming the opening of the telescope. The telescope setup is being illuminated by a red flashlight so I don’t ruin my night vision.

ou can see the sun’s corona as dwarfs the Moon’s shadow. I was lucky enough to have my camera set to capture six flares and the diamond ring lying on its side. You can see the contrast of the dark black moon and the sunspots on the boiling sun.
