This week we have not one but TWO Chit Chat Across the Pond episodes.

CCATP #683 – Christophe Zajac-Denek is Kind of a Big Deal

CCATP #684 – Bart Busschots on PBS #115 of X – The Push & Pull of Git

Clockwise #396

I had the great pleasure of being on Clockwise again this week with hosts Mikah Sargent and Dan Moren, along with guest Jeremy Burge, the creator of Emojipedia. We talked about whether and how we encourage our friends and family to update their software, what kinds of keyboards we like, and how to deal with poor Internet connectivity. That one was from Jeremy because he lives on a boat! We also covered my currently favorite subject as you’ll hear later in the show, the fiddliness of macOS. Check out Clockwise episode #396.

Logitech Zone Wireless Plus headset – by Bruce aka @UseTheData

Thanks so much for this, Bruce. The Zone headset sure does sound fantastic. I often hear with headset mics that people don’t position the mic correctly so they get a lot of noise from their nose, but you definitely have mastered the placement of the mic. I found most interesting what you said about your wife’s observation of how much more naturally you’re talking with this mic and how it’s less fatiguing for you. That’s something I never would have predicted a mic change could cause.

You mentioned using the Bluetooth dongle to easily switch between devices, and that sounds so much less fiddly than messing with Bluetooth itself! I noticed on the Logitech website that this headset comes with both a USB Type A and USB Type C dongle, which is fantastic. No need for a double dongle with USB-C.

Thanks so much for sending this and I sure hope you do more reviews, especially with the Logitech Zone headset!

Support the Show

If you’re feeling a bit strapped for money like so many people are these days, but you’d still like to help out the show, have you considered leaving a review for the podcasts? For some reason the main place to leave reviews is the Apple Podcasts app, so if you use a third-party podcast app, this is a bit of a big ask. In the Apple Podcasts app, if you can find the podcast you’d like to review, scroll down past the recent episodes to show the ratings and reviews. Heck, review all of the Podfeet Podcasts while you’re there! The NosillaCast has a fair number of reviews, but the other shows are sadly in need of some love!

Promotion of the shows is much appreciated because it brings more friends into the family of NosillaCastaways.
