NC #928 KYY 4K USB-C Display, iMediSync for Alzheimer’s Detection, Security Bits

Hi, this is Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast Apple Podcast, hosted at Podfeet.com, a technology geek podcast with an EVER so slight Apple bias. Today is Sunday, February 19, 2023, and this is show number 928. We’ve got a fun show today. We’ve got the last interview by Bodie from CES and he did a terrific job with it. Also, I love his intro. Then I’ll tell you about a neato portable USB-C display, and then we have Security Bits with Bart Busschots. It’s not even a depressing Security Bits!

iMediSync iSyncWave by Bodie at CES (no blog post)

The iSyncWave is a helmet that measures your brain waves and they claim it’s 91% effective at diagnosing Alzheimer’s and dementia. This summer the iSyncWave will also be able to perform NeuroFeedback.

Thanks so much for this, Bodie. Like you, my family is riddled with Alzheimer’s so I’m pretty interested in any new developments. I was reading some of the material on the iMediSync website and found something I really appreciate.

They specifically say that their data set takes sex into account, meaning they can view the data about your brain relative to your sex. Over the last 50 years, we’ve only done research with male data on most drugs and they’re finding that women are actually different from men – who would have suspected that???

I definitely want to keep my eye on this tool as they get approval.

Also, please keep your goofy intros no matter how serious the subject – you always make me laugh!

Are you listening to this or reading it on the web and thinking, wow, the people who create the Podfeet Podcasts really do a lot of work to bring this awesome content to me?
