NC #1103 KeyScreen for Demos, Mic Technique with Eddie Tonkoi, Adam Engst on AI Agent Dread

Hi, this is Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast Apple Podcast, hosted at Podfeet.com, a technology geek podcast with an EVER so slight Apple bias. Today is Sunday, June 28, 2026, and this is show number 1103. Things are really heating up with my multiple small trips this summer. While Steve and I will be in town for next week’s Live Show on July 5, we’ll have been out of town for 7 straight days, so it will be a purely assembly show with listener contributions.

PBS 186: Web Metadata — the Search and OpenGraph HTML Headers

In this week’s Programming By Stealth, Bart Busschots teaches us about Open Graph (and how SEO headers work). One of the things that helps your posts get traction is if you have a nice, pretty card that displays when you post the URL on social media. Plain blue links just don’t get clicked. With WordPress and other dynamic Content Management Systems (CMSs), you can get plugins to create the pretty cards.

But with Jekyll (and Hugo and other Static Site Generators), you need to build the capability into your theme. It’s not hard, you just need to know what metadata to build, and of course, Bart is here to teach it to us. Check out Programming By Stealth in your podcatcher of choice, and I put a link in the shownotes to Bart’s fabulous tutorial shownotes.

MacVoices #26187: Road to Macstock – Allison Sheridan

I recently had the pleasure of joining my good friend (and part-time nemesis), Chuck Joiner, on an episode of MacVoices. Every year he has a series he calls “Road to Macstock” where he invites the presenters on to talk about what they plan to present at the conference. I’m not sure my episode was all that fascinating, but you can go to macvoices.com and search for NosillaCastaway Marty Jencius and also Jill from the Northwoods when they were interviewed by Chuck. They’re probably more interesting.

Next up, we have what I think of is a “lost episode” from Eddie Tonkoi. Eddie didn’t lose it — I did! He sent it back in February and has been patiently waiting for me to play it. I’m sure glad I finally realized my mistake, and especially on such a frantic week as I’ve just explained!

Support the Show

You know who’s a swell fella? Richard Gunther, that’s who. Richard has been a friend and a supporter of the NosillaCast through Patreon for years. But this week, he actually doubled his pledge. As I told him, if everyone who listens pledged just a dollar a month to the show, it would be fantastic, but until everyone else catches up, it’s wonderful that Richard is there to pick up the slack.
We have another donor who prefers to remain anonymous (which is always an option if you tell me!) Every year or so they go to podfeet.com/donate and buy me a whole LOT of coffees. It’s a fun windfall — just as much fun as the monthly donations through Patreon.

Thank you so much to both of these swell folks for keeping the NosillaCast and all of the shows here at the Podfeet Podcasts running. You can be swell too by going to podfeet.com/patreon or to podfeet.com/donate to support the show.
