NC #628 Dumb Question Corner, B&H Photo, GoPro Karma Drone, Hunting Black Bars of Doom

Chit Chat Across the Pond Lite and Programming By Stealth are both searchable now in iTunes, the Apple Podcasts app, along with Downcast, Pocketcasts and Overcast. I put out a call for help – I need recorded reviews some time next week for the following week’s show because we’re going on yet another vacation. Videos are now a button on the podfeet.com home page so you can get to them more easily and I explain how Helma helped me make that happen. In Dumb Question Corner I’ll answer Rod Simmons’s boss’s question about how to mark up emails on an iPad Pro. We’ve got two more NAB 2017 interviews: we’ll talk to B&H about their mobile microphones, and GoPro about their new Karma Drone. I’ll walk you through all of the intricacies of tech goodness in how I think I’ve finally rid podfeet.com of the Black Bars of Doom (trademark Donald Burr).

NC #626 Lacie Thunderbolt 3 dock, Google Loses Interest in its Phones, Call AppleCare, Brother Head-Mounted Monitor

Chris Ashley from the SMR Podcast was our guest on Chit Chat Across the Pond talking about the new Microsoft hardware and OS announcements this week, I did a deep dive into Finder modifications on ScreenCasts Online, and Bart Busschots had his debut on the Daily Tech News Show. We’ve got two NAB interviews. We talk with Lacie about their 2big Thunderbolt 3 doc with capacity up to 20TB. Then we learn about the Brother head-mounted HD monitor that allows videographers to be comfortable while their camera is in weird positions. I go on a bit of a rant about how Google has seemingly lost interest in supporting Android phones that they’re still selling. Then I’ll tell you about how I found out that the keyboard for my iPad Pro has a secret recall and how I found out.

NC #625 ecobee3 Installation and Review, Quarterback for Live TV on a Phone, Don’t Buy the TrackR, Security Bits

This week I’ll tell you about my experience installing the ecobee3 and later in the show I’ll review it. I’ll tell you why even though it’s awesome you shouldn’t buy it. We’ll have the first of our NAB 2017 interviews – Quarterback for Live TV on a phone. Then I’ll explain why you seriously want to avoid buying the TrackR (not because it’s awesome). Then we have a great episode of Security Bits with Bart Busschots. It’s got four Security Mediums which gave us a lot to chew on.
