This week we’ve got the last two video interviews from CSUN Persons With Disabilities Expo. We’ve got RSLSteeper from RSLSteeper.com and Autismate from Autismate.com. In Dumb Question Corner, I show Steve Mandala how to record an Internet radio stream using Audio Hijack Pro from rogueamoeba.com. In Chit Chat Across the Pond we’re going to put the nerd beanies on pretty tight. First Bart walks through how to lock all of your preference panes, then we go full speed as Bart answers Ryan Sakamoto’s question on whether email is secure on our smart phones and how to digitally sign and encrypt your email with S/MIME.

#410 Automate iTunes Podcast Refresh, Looktel Breadcrumbs GPS and VoiceOver Tutorial, Versa Stand for iPad

Today we have a Dumb Question from Pat Putnam about how to refresh iTunes podcasts on a schedule (I’m very proud of myself on how I solved it). We’ve got an interview with Cara Quinn from Looktel about her new apps for the blind, Breadcrumbs GPS and VoiceOver Tutorial. Then we’ve got another Dumb Question, this time from Ben on why 2x speed isn’t really 2x speed on the Downcast Podcast app. Then I’ll give you my review of the Versa Stand for iPad from the Ergo Tech Group that’s really cool. In Chit Chat Across the Pond Bart will give us his advice, to follow the money and to beware of the Underpants Gnomes.

#408 SCO Monthly Mag, CrashPlan, Hypercel, Mophie Helium, Transporter, Microsoft Surface and Office Pricing

This week we’re going to talk about the ScreenCasts Online Monthly Magazine, my progress with offsite backups through CrashPlan. We have an interview from Macworld with a company called Hypercel with an iPhone 5 battery case and a cool car/wall charger, and then I’ll give you my review of the new Mophie Helium iPhone 5 battery pack. Then we’ll talk to the Connected Data folks at Macworld about their new Transporter device, and in Chit Chat Across the Pond I’ll talk to Chris Ashley of the SMR Podcast about the new Microsoft Surface Pro, new pricing on Office for Windows and Mac including the subscription service, and then you’ll get to hear Chris lose his mind when he talks about Microsoft not including some features in Skype‚Ķfor Windows.
