NC #690 Sweet Setup Love for Keep It and Useful Workflow, Drobo Migration, Mind Map Productivity, Security Bits

The Sweet Setup shows some love for Keep It and has a fantastic Workflow to add an iPhone X frame to screenshots. I’ll tell you about the (disappointing but ultimately successful) Great Drobo Migration of 2018. I promised the audio from my talk at Macstock Expo entitled “Mind Map Your Way to Productivity” and it’s included in this week’s show. And we’ve got Bart Busschots back with Security Bits.

Hi, this is Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast Apple Podcast, hosted at Podfeet.com, a technology geek podcast with an EVER so slight Apple bias. Today is Sunday, July 29, 2018, and this is show number 690.

Chit Chat Across the Pond

In this week’s Chit Chat Across the Pond, Bart continues to regale us with new knowledge about how to use Bootstrap to control the look and feel of web pages. We learn more about breakpoints for smaller mobile devices, backing up to see which of the content options are breakpoint-aware, like margins and float and the display tag. It’s not a head bender, but he promises we’ll be folding JavaScript back in soon when we learn about forms in Bootstrap.

Macstock 2018: Mind Map Your Way to Productivity

Patreon

Remember last week when I talked about all the cool people Steve and I met at Macstock Expo? Steve and I got to hang out a lot with Norbert Frassa. He’s a recent friend but is a big participant in the live show and on Facebook, and couldn’t be more delightful in person. Steve and I sat in most of the sessions with him and Corky. We may have shared a beer or two with him as well at the evening events.

Not only is he fun online and in person, he’s also a Patron of the Podfeet Podcasts. He evidently gets value out of the show and demonstrated his appreciation for that by going to podfeet.com/patreon and choosing a dollar amount to contribute per week as I create the shows. I really appreciate his generosity . Perhaps you could consider doing the same.
