Allison interviews John Gutch, Global Head of Marketing for Hive, about Hive Link, a new smart home care service designed to allow caregivers to check their loved one is getting on with their day as usual, while giving a loved one reassurance someone is there if needed. Hive Link is a combination of home security devices and a linked service to help caregivers monitor and provide support for their loved ones while they are in their own home. Hive devices fit easily into the home and work in the background to get to know your loved one’s usual routine. Hive Link includes a mobile app that notifies the caregiver if, for example, the loved one is not following their usual morning or evening routine, or if the front door has been left open longer than normal. The app also allows the caregiver to set up a Circle to share the care with family and friends so when you’re busy or away they can receive notifications, check the activity log, and help out if needed.
