Celestron Reflector Telescope with Smart Phone App for Viewing Guidance

CES 2020: Celestron StarSense Explorer Telescopes

Allison interviews Corey Lee, CEO of Celestron, about their easy-to-use StarSense Explorer Telescopes. This entry line of telescopes uses your smartphone to analyze the night sky and calculate its position in real time. With the night sky displayed on your smartphone and the phone attached to the telescope, you simply point the telescope to the location of a celestial object using guidance arrows provided by the mobile app. The app will list the celestial objects that are best for viewing on a given night. Once you select a desired object, the app provides additional information about the object as well as guidance on how to point the telescope for viewing. StarSense Explorer Telescopes are available in a refractor model with 80mm or 102mm apertures and a reflector model with 114mm or 130mm apertures. The setting is Showstoppers at the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas.
