Allison interviews Kimberly Cline from Low Vision International about their Video Magnifier products. LVI offers video magnifiers for school environments, and for use at work or at home. LVI’s latest product is a video magnifier that wirelessly connects with an iPad so you can use your existing device as the display. The magnifier’s camera looks downward for document viewing and also rotates out forward for distance viewing as well as self-viewing. It offers full HD (1080p) resolution and a 10x optical zoom. LVI also offers a similar device that uses a Microsoft Surface Pro 8 tablet as the display. LVI’s MagniLink S video magnifier is compact enough to be mobile, allowing carry between home and school or a workplace. It can be connected to a computer (PC/Mac/Chromebook) or a monitor for display. The setting is the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference show floor at the Marriott in Anaheim, CA.
