Chit Chat Across the Pond

On Chit Chat Across the Pond this week, Dr. Maryanne Garry, also known as “Crusher of Dreams” is back. This time it’s not an intellectual discussion of higher learning. We decided to go through all of our top grammar pet peeves. It’s pedantic and annoying, because that’s who we are at heart. I hope you’ll enjoy it – look for Chit Chat Across the Pond or Chit Chat Across the Pond Lite in your Podcatcher of choice, episode 576. And of course you can always listen right at podfeet.com

Dumb Question Corner – How Big is My Image on iOS?

Amazon

I’m super excited about something Amazon has done recently. They came out with something they call OneLink. OneLink allows me to create Amazon Affiliate Links in the Amazon.com store, but if you’re from one of the countries for which I’ve created an account, the links will automatically redirect you to your country’s store. For example if you’re in the UK and you hit the amazon.com link, it will take you to amazon.co.uk. I have linked the accounts for the UK, Canada and Germany. This means when anyone from any of these countries clicks on a link for a prodcut I’ve recommended, their purchase may result in a small percentage going back to help the podcast production. Thanks to all of you who have been purchasing via Amazon on podfeet.com

Just got a chance to finish listening to this show and I think since my 7+ is still under Apple care and the Apple store is 90 minutes away BestBuy might be what I do for my battery. Also Steve’s Twas the night before is always a great listen any time of the year.

Kevin – I hate to tell you but the $29 AppleCare deal was only through the end of 2018. Now it’s jumped up to something like $79 depending on your model.

My 7+ is still under Apple care until next month so I should be good and it should be free than according to what Apple is showing me.
