In her final 2019 CES installment, Allison interviews Justin Gagnon from WHILL about their latest powered wheelchair. Gagnon shows Allison the new Model Ci, WHILL’s most portable powered wheelchair. Model Ci’s indoor features include a short wheelbase, narrow frame, responsive controls, and ability to perform tight turns. Its outdoor features include speeds up to 5 mph, a 10-mile range, a 2” obstacle clearance, and excellent stability and durability. The Model Ci can be quickly disassembled into three relatively small pieces allowing it to be stored/carried in small spaces, such as the trunk of a car. The Model Ci also includes remote control via a mobile app. This allows the users to remotely drive the Ci away when not in use and recall it when needed again.
