Allison interviews Kevin Brigham from LiftMaster about several of their connected products. First up is the well-known LiftMaster garage door opener, but this version is updated with myQ technology. myQ connects your opener to your home WiFi and provides remote operation and monitoring. With myQ and its accompanying mobile app, you can receive activity alerts and open/close your garage door from your smartphone. You can also set recurring schedules to close your garage door and turn myQ lights on/off and you can sync with popular smart devices and platforms. You can buy LiftMaster garage door openers with myQ built in or you can upgrade your existing LiftMaster opener with myQ module. Kevin then shows the video camera that LiftMaster has integrated into their garage door opener. This camera allows you to monitor real-time video of your garage through the myQ app. Finally, LiftMaster has partnered with Yale to produce smart locks for your entryway doors. The setting is Pepcom’s Digital Experience at CES at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.
