Hi, this is Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast Apple Podcast, hosted at Podfeet.com, a technology geek podcast with an EVER-so-slight Apple bias. Today is Sunday, October 11, 2026, and this is show number 1118.
Announcements
Apple (HomePod?) Announcement
Before we get started, I’d like to invite anyone planning on watching/listening to the Apple announcement on Tuesday 13 October at 6 AM Pacific Time to join us in the live chatroom at podfeet.com/chat. Steve and I will be in there texting with all of the lovely NosillaCastaways about which HomePod we plan to buy. Hope you’ll come have some fun with us.
No Live Show next week
Second announcement is that there will be NO LIVE SHOW on Sunday, 18 October because Steve and I will be in Texas playing with our grandkids. Don’t worry, I’ll be getting a show out (somehow) on Tuesday before we leave, so you’ll still get your NosillaCast fix. If nothing else, I have a killer Chit Chat Across the Pond for you next week!
PBS 187 — Back to Jekyll
In this week’s installment of Programming By Stealth, we dust off our memory from where we left off learning about Jekyll back in PBS 181 in June of last year. After some housekeeping, Bart takes us through the challenge solution from PBS 181, and then teaches us how to add metadata to our static sites. After the new material, he sets up where we’re going next in learning how to organize our content with Jekyll taxonomies. He even explains what the weird term “information architecture” means in this context.
I highly encourage you to go back to at least PBS 181 and reread and/or relisten to that episode before enjoying the latest episode. Maybe your memory is way better than mine but content from nearly a year and a half back is pretty much all cobwebs for me!
