CES 2020: LINEDOCK Dock for MacBook Pro

Allison interviews Quentin Malgaud, Co-founder & CEO of LINEDOCK, about their new full-featured docks for the 13″ and 16″ MacBook Pro. Sitting flush right under your MacBook, LINEDOCK’s sleek design integrates into any desk setup. It features eight hours of extra battery life, up to 1TB onboard Flash SSD, and it meets international aviation requirements. You can fully charge LINEDOCK in just two hours. The LINEDOCK 13 is packed with nine ports: three USB-C, three USB 3.0, 4K HDMI (two for 16″), MiniDisplay Port, and an SD Card Reader (two for 16″). LINEDOCK can spread up to 100W of power across all your connected devices, enough to keep your MacBook Pro (with 60W PD) and four additional devices fully charged while working. LINEDOCK is made of aircraft-grade aluminum and has a finish and color that matches the MacBook Pro. The LINEDOCK 13″ is available now and the 16″ will be released sometime in March 2020. The setting is Showstoppers at the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas.

    How much do they weigh?

Does it generate extra heat under the laptop?

What stops a laptop skittering around on the dock?

What prevents damage if someone grabs the laptop and the connector is forced out?

What is it like to type with the keyboard raised a little?
