CES 2016: NASA’s Space Launch System

Steve Sheridan makes his debut in FRONT of the camera as he interviews Trey Cate from NASA’s Marshal Space Flight Center about the Space Launch System (SLS). The SLS will be the most powerful rocket NASA has ever built and will enable astronauts in the Orion spacecraft to travel deeper into the solar system. When completed, SLS will enable astronauts to begin their journey to explore destinations far into the solar system. The first launch and test flight of the SLS is scheduled for June/July 2018. The setting is the CES show floor at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Thanks John. As I said in response to a comment on Facebook, I never pass up an opportunity to learn more about NASA’s technologies and plans, particularly when it comes to manned space exploration. Go NASA!
