Allister here, still standing in for Allison. About a month ago, Allison wrote a blog post entitled “I have made fire!” which briefly chronicled how she had imagined a change she wanted to make to a scripted, automated backup of the podfeet.com server and how she made that change all by herself, using knowledge gained in […]

Guest Review of Enigmo by DorothyR
Before my husband and I head out on a new cruise, I like to find some new games for my iPad to while away the hours between ports. This year I found an intriguing game called Enigmo from Pangea Software. There’s also a sequel Enigmo 2. Both priced at $1.99 from iTunes. Quoting from the […]

Allister here, taking my turn to stand in for the vacationing Allison. I’m a huge supporter of the OS X operating system and often try to gently drop hints to those second class citizens we call Windows users about how great we have it. But in the interests of objectivity, I do always admit there […]
Continue readingNC #572 Apple did not Admit to Planned Obsolescence, PRC & Hardcore History
This show is guest-hosted by Bart Busschots. The content is meticulously scripted, performed, and produced, making it more like a collection […]

Allison interviews Drobo CTO Rod Harrison about their new feature that lets users access files stored on their Drobo remotely. Remote file access can be done via a web browser […]
Continue readingEstimated Usage does not equal Planned Obsolescence
In case you can’t tell from the tone of this post, this is Bart here standing in for Allison this week. This morning I was listening to the radio, like I always do when getting ready for work. I listen to RTÉ 1, Ireland’s national radio station for serious adults (lots of talk, very little […]

A few years ago I got FiOS and my ISP gave me a combo modem/router. I talked to Bart and he helped me figure out how to basically emasculate the FiOS router so that I could use my Airport Extreme to serve out DHCP addresses and WiFi. I created a tutorial as he explained it […]
