NC #560 Apple Rant, Facebook Group, PIQ Sports Sensor, Brydge Keyboards, Ring Video Doorbell, ALLie Spherical Camera, SureCall Cell Booster

We start with an Apple rant about some “interesting” tech support calls I endured. I explain how I gave in and created a Facebook Group after all, but please don’t judge me. We have four interviews: PIQ Sports sensor to help you analyze your game, adorable Brydge keyboards for your iPad, ALLie Spherical Camera and SureCall cell phone booster (I think I might buy one of these). I also did an in depth review of the Ring Video Doorbell.

Hi this is Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast Mac Podcast, hosted at Podfeet.com, a technology geek podcast with an EVER so slight Macintosh bias. Today is Sunday January 31, 2016 and this is show number 560. This week’s show is going to be crazy fun. We’ve got rants, we’ve got interviews, we’ve got capitulation and we’ve got reviews!

Chit Chat Across the Pond

In Chit Chat Across the Pond this week I asked Dave Hamilton of the Mac Geek Gab to join me to talk about the effect that it would have on us if the rumors are true and Apple ships the next iPhone without an analog headphone jack. It’s not a hand wringing, fearful episode, instead we discuss what digital vs. analog actually means and get into the nitty gritty of how audio is encoded and decode so that we can hear it. I had a great time learning from Dave and I think you will too. Remember you need to subscribe separately to Chit Chat Across the Pond or you can follow the link in the shownotes to just this episode.

Apple Rants

I had some “interesting” support calls with Apple this week about which I did a bit of a rant. No show notes on this part!
